Glaciers of the '80s

I stumbled upon some photos from 1983 when my family visited Glacier National Park. I remember riding this cool bus with huge snow tires up to the base of some glaciers.

That got me to thinking about the park and wondering how much of those glaciers remain today. Apparently they are fading fast (current estimate is for a glacier-free park by 2030).

Perhaps my own kids will never get the chance to see these particular glaciers.

Which strikes me as rather sad.
